Jean is a 96year widow who married a WW2 veteran named George. George was injured in battle and paralyzed waist down in WW2, and Jean was there for George during his recovery and still choose to marry George knowing her life would be much more difficult. Jean and George wasn’t able to have kids due to George’s injury.
Here is the message Joe wrote for the Jean Adolphson Veteran 2022 Project. Joe is Jean and George’s nephew and helps Jean out with things, and I worked with Joe to get the fence project line out.
Caleb and all at Rain City Fence,
Both my Aunt Jean and I would like to thank you very much for the beautiful fence that you installed for Jean. She is delighted and after many many years finally has a back yard as beautiful as her early memories. She apologizes for not coming out to see you while you were there but the weather and ground conditions left her housebound during the snow. I cannot express in words the gratitude that she feels and the many times that she speaks about your marvelous gift. Please know that Rain City Fence and your wonderful people will always have a place in her heart.
If for any reason you would ever want letters of reference please do not hesitate to let us know or if we can assist in any other way. Our very best to you all for a wonderful New Year and very successful future.
Regards,
Jean Adolphson
